Time and Duration:

• The course will meet 6:30PM to 9:00PM
• Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 to Friday, April 3rd, 2020
• Any class cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled

Location:

• All classes will be held in the Silver Educational Center of the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens
• The written exam is administered at the Bartlett Arboretum
• The practical exam will be held at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven

Course Description:

This course is intended to provide participants with the basic information essential to a career in arboriculture.  Students who attend class, read the assigned materials, and work with the instructor generally can expect to do well on the Connecticut Arborist Exam. It is designed for students who wish to dive deeply into the material and have a more guided approach to the exam. Individual results are not guaranteed.  This program is taught in English.  Exam dates will be announced during the first class meeting

Course Cost:            $600 per person (includes handouts, core manual and IPM booklet)

• Pesticide Applicator Training Manual, 3rd Ed. (included in program cost)
• IPM booklet for Ornamental Plants (included in program cost)
• Disease Management Guide for CT Arborists (**additional $30)
• Pesticide IPM for CT Arborists (**additional $30)

** These books are REQUIRED for all students but do not need to be purchased if you already own them. During registration, if you respond yes to the course texts, you can pick them up at the first class. Please remember to bring additional payment with you! Thanks
